SAN ANTONIO — When the Colorado Buffaloes hit the field for Thursday night's Valero Alamo Bowl matchup with Oklahoma State, they'll take with them the memory of CU's only Heisman Trophy winner, Rashaan Salaam.
Salaam, the former Buffs running back great who won the 1994 Heisman, died in early December in Boulder.
"We're going to wear a decal on our helmet for him, honor him that way," CU head coach Mike MacIntyre announced at Wednesday's Alamo Bowl press conference. "Our guys walk by his trophy every day. It's something that we notice every single day.
