Colorado has added to its competition at cornerback.
Junior college transfer Mekhi Blackmon officially signed a financial aid agreement with CU on Monday and will join the team in time for the start of fall camp on Aug. 1.
"Mekhi is a long, athletic corner that can play press coverage and do all the things we look for in our cornerbacks here at Colorado," CU head coach Mike MacIntyre said in a statement from the school. "We are really excited about getting him here for this fall and helping our team."
Blackmon said coaches have compared him to former CU corners Ken Crawley and Ahkello Witherspoon, who are both in the NFL.
