Vegas glance. It calls for Colorado wide receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. to go deep down the sidelines and quarterback Steven Montez to get him the ball.
Saturday afternoon, the Buffaloes rolled the dice with Vegas glance — and it came up a winner, delivering a 40-yard touchdown with 1:06 left in the game, lifting CU to a 33-28 win over Nebraska at Memorial Stadium.
"I told Coach (Kurt) Roper to tell Steven if they go closed middle, look that free safety off and throw that ball for a touchdown," said co-offensive coordinator Darrin Chiaverini, who called the play from the press box.
