BOULDER — After finishing second at NCAA Pre-Nationals on Oct. 14, the Colorado women’s cross country team fell from first to third in the latest USTFCCCA Division I Coaches Poll. The men, who also recorded a second-place finish at pre-nationals, moved up from seventh to fifth; giving the Buffs a pair of top-five teams in this week’s rankings.
The women suffered their first loss of the season to Pac-12 foe Oregon, 63-91, while the men scored 118 points for their runner-up finish to BYU, which totaled 41 points. CU’s emerging varsity also raced last weekend in the ‘B’ races at the Nuttycombe Wisconsin Invitational in Madison, Wis.
