BOULDER — More than 40 years ago, Bobby Hofman set his college basketball roots at the University of Colorado, where he played for legendary CU coach Sox Walseth.
Hofman later served as an assistant coach for the Buffs under Tom Apke, a springboard to a college coaching career that produced a plethora of winning seasons and NCAA Tournament berths — and even a few stops back in Boulder, when he brought his teams to the Coors Events Center to face the Buffs.
Tuesday evening, thanks to a generous donation from George B. Boedecker Jr. and the Boedecker Foundation, the lower practice court in the Coors Events Center was renamed “Hofman Court.
