BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Colorado women's tennis season opened the 2018 season with an up-and-down day at the IU Invitational at the IU Tennis Center. The team had a slow start during the doubles matches in the morning, before rebounding in the afternoon with strong play in the singles matches.
The Buffs went 1-2 in the doubles matches, with the team's lone win coming from the doubles pairing of junior Brigitte Beck and junior Ilana Oleynik defeated Wright State's Luisa Pelayo and Madison Riley, 7-6 (7-3).
However, the doubles team of junior Chloe Hule and senior Kyra Wojcik fell to Indiana's Madison Appel and Michelle McKamey, 6-1, while senior Louise Ronaldson and junior Annabelle Andrinopoulos fell to Abilene Christian's Sarah Eleanor Adams and Whitney Williams, 6-3.
