PHOENIX – The Colorado women's golf team put together a strong second round to move up two positions into 13th on Saturday at the PING/Arizona State University Invitational.
CU carded a 294 with two Buffaloes firing sub-par rounds at the par 72, 6,426-yard Papago Golf Course. The Buffs (598) are now six strokes from 12th-place Denver (592) and seven from 11th-place New Mexico (591).
Arizona State, currently ranked No. 8 by Golfstat, extended its day one lead from five strokes to 17 over the second-place team. The Sun Devils fired a 13-under in the second round to finish day two with a 555 (280-275).
