Buffs' MacIntyre to headline charity event

On Friday, Colorado head football coach Mike MacIntyre will be on hand for the 10th Annual Colorado Coaches for Charity event at Sports Authority Field at Mile High.

MacIntyre will join several other area football coaches, including Colorado State's Mike Bobo, Air Force's Troy Calhoun, Northern Colorado's Earnest Collins Jr. and CSU-Pueblo's John Wristen.

Each coach will bring their supporters to Denver to help raise money for their respective charities. For his charity, MacIntyre has chosen the Friends of Jaclyn Foundation, which pairs children battling pediatric brain tumors and their families with college sports teams. In 2013, the Buffs "adopted" Longmont's Josiah Speer, who has battled brain cancer since he was three years old.
