NAPA, Calif. — The University of Colorado women's golf team is in 10th place after the first round of its own Silverado Showdown, shooting a 13-over 301 on Sunday.
San Jose State is the day one leader after finishing with a 289 (1-over). Two of Spartans shot 1-under 71s, while another was at 1-over 73. Their fourth scorer carded a 2-over 74. There is a three-way tie in the team race for second with UCLA, Southern California and Northwestern all shooting 3-over 291s.
The Buffs were led by a pair of freshmen as Kelsey Webster and Malak Bouraeda each recorded 1-over 73s on the 6,192-yard, par 72 North Course at the Silverado Resort and Spa.
