LARAMIE, Wyo. — Colorado's first road test of the season came down the wire. The Buffaloes women's basketball team held off a late Wyoming charge, earning a 66-56 win in front of 2,531 Cowgirl faithful on Sunday.
Colorado (3-0) got off to a slow start in the first quarter but overtook the lead on the last shot of the period. CU's lead grew to as many as 14 in the third quarter, but Wyoming fought its way back in the fourth quarter, sliming the deficit to five points in the final minute.
Four Buffs finished in double figures.
