TEMPE, Ariz. — A flurry of Arizona State 3-pointers put the Colorado Buffaloes in a hole from which they could not escape Saturday, and the Buffs dropped an 80-66 decision at Wells Fargo Arena.
Colorado rallied from an 8-point deficit in the first half to tie the game at intermission, 32-32, then scrapped to a 48-45 lead with 12:09 to go.
But the No. 21 Sun Devils, who had hit just three of their 21 3-pointers up to that point, rattled in five in a row and six of their next seven to build a 10-point lead with 6:37 to go.
