BOULDER — Colorado senior Derrick White did his best to extend CU's season, scoring 30 points, but it wasn't enough as the Buffs fell to UCF on Wednesday, 79-74, in their NIT opener.
Colorado ended the season with a 19-15 record, just the second time in the seven-year Tad Boyle era that the Buffs failed to reach the 20-win plateau.
White finished with 30 points, Xavier Johnson chipped in 13 and Josh Fortune added 12.
The Buffs actually had five more field goals, but shot just 30-for-71 from the field, including just 9-for-33 from 3-point range.
