BOULDER – The Colorado women's tennis team fell 7-0 here Friday afternoon to No.16-ranked UCLA to open the 2022 Pac-12 conference schedule.

The Buffs (4-4, 0-1 Pac-12) played close in singles play with one set win and 10 of 13 sets scoring three or more games, but the Bruins (5-3, 1-0 Pac-12) three-ranked singles and ranked doubles were too much for Colorado.

In the doubles point, the 28th-ranked tandem in Elysia Bolton and Elise Wagle downed Maria Campos and Caroline Pozo 6-2 to clinch the point.
