BOULDER - In a back-and-forth overtime thriller, Colorado fell to No. 20 Stanford 10-9 at Kittredge Field on Saturday in its Pac-12 Conference lacrosse opener.
Colorado (2-3, 0-1 Pac-12) went into the second half with a 4-3 lead over Stanford (3-0, 2-0 Pac-12) after 30 minutes of back-and-forth scoring. The Cardinal tested the Buffs in the opening period putting 11 shots on goal, but Julia Lisella was rock solid at goalie tallying eight saves. CU also put the pressure on Stanford on the offensive end with 10 shots on goal, connecting on four.
