LUBBOCK, Texas – The Colorado women's basketball team dropped its first game of the season to close out its three-game stint in the Preseason WNIT on Wednesday. The Buffaloes weren't able to complete the sweep in Lubbock, falling to Texas Tech 86-85 in overtime.
Colorado (3-1) was led by 20-point efforts from seniors Jaylyn Sherrod and Quay Miller. Sherrod, who needed five points to hit 700 for her career, scored 19 of 21 points in the second half. Miller was one rebound shy of her second double-double of the year, totaling a game-high 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting.
