BERKELEY, Calif. – Three first-half goals proved enough for the No. 25 California Golden Bears to defeat the Colorado Buffaloes, 4-0, at Edwards Stadium on Thursday afternoon.
Colorado drops to 8-6-4 overall and 2-4-2 in the Pac-12 Conference. Cal improves to 10-4-4 on the season and 5-3-1 in the conference.
The Buffs conceded goals in the 25th, 30th and 33rd minutes and could not recover from the deficit. CU was on its heels from the start, getting outshot 14-1 in the first half. The Golden Bears would add to the shot advantage in the second half, closing the day 25-5.
