STANFORD, Calif. – After starting the season 1-3, the University of Colorado lacrosse team knew it needed to get a win on Friday night against Stanford. And win the Buffs did, downing the No. 15 Stanford Cardinal, 20-11, at Cagan Field.
The win was also special as the program was playing in its 100th game. Since the program started in 2014, CU has recorded a 67-33 record, all under head coach Ann Elliott Whidden.
The Buffs, which were ranked 23rd entering the contest, improved to 2-3 overall, while the Cardinal is now 4-2.
