ALBUQUERQUE— Colorado extended its win streak to five in its first road test of the season on Thursday night. The Buffaloes went down to New Mexico and snapped the Lobos' 10-game home-unbeaten streak with a 2-0 result.
The win for Colorado was its first on the road since beating Arizona 1-0 in Tucson on Oct. 31, 2021.
Freshman Ava Priest opened her account on Thursday, scoring her first goal as a Buffs. Shyra James, no stranger to scoring goals, picked up her 30th career tally and provided a bit of insurance for Colorado in the second half.
