DENVER – Colorado extended the winning streak to seven after a short trip up I-25 to over in state rival Denver at the University of Denver Soccer Stadium Friday night. The Buffaloes had two penalty kicks to lead the way towards a 3-1 win.
The first half was dominated by the Pioneers playing primarily on the Buffs side of the field leading to seven shots. As Denver continued to get shots early goal keeper Jordan Nytes extended her hot start to the season saving both the shots on goal.
Despite the shot discrepancy in favor of Denver the lone goal in the first 45 minutes came off of a penalty kick by Jade Babcock-Chi to send the Buffs to the locker room with the lead.
