BOULDER — Thursday morning, the Colorado Buffaloes woke up to some numbers that no doubt made head coach Tad Boyle a happy man.
For starters, the Buffs were 13-4 overall and 2-2 in Pac-12 play, putting them nearer the top than the bottom of a conference that is still an anything-can-happen-on-any-night league. That’s reason to smile.
But what no doubt pleased Boyle most were the conference statistics for league games thus far. In Pac-12 play, the Buffs are leading the league in rebound margin (plus-8.5 per game), scoring defense (allowing just 61 points per game) and field goal percentage defense (.
