Buffs 14th After First Round of PING/ASU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. — With one round finished and two to go, the University of Colorado women's golf team is 14th overall at the PING/ASU Invitational. The Buffaloes collectively shot a 21-over 309 and are eight strokes back from Georgia, which scored a 301, on Friday.

Pac-12 Conference foe Stanford is the team leader at the event with a 1-under 287. Just one stroke back is the host, Arizona State, which recorded an even 288 at its 6,430-yard, par 72, Papago Golf Course. The team race is very close as the top four are separated by a few strokes.
