BOULDER — From the very beginning Friday night, the Colorado Buffaloes made it clear they wouldn't set themselves up for another upset at the hands of Grambling State.
Instead, the Buffs avenged last year's loss at GSU with a dominating 95-63 win over the Tigers at the CU Events Center.
Tad Boyle's Buffs improved to 2-0 while Grambling State dropped to 1-1.
A year ago, the Tigers shocked the Buffs with an 83-74 win in Grambling.
Friday, the Buffs left no doubt that another upset wasn't in the cards. Colorado built a 10-point lead six minutes in, extended it to 20 midway through the first half and had a 30-point cushion at the break, 50-20.
