Colorado quarterback J.T. Shrout was taken off the field in a medical cart following a non-contact injury during Saturday’s intrasquad scrimmage. Shrout was cutting to his left on a QB keeper play when his knee buckled, forcing him to fall to the turf. Shrout was battling Brendon Lewis for the starting quarterback role.
Karl Dorrell said the extent of the injury is unknown.
“He was out on air and tried to make a move and his knee buckled a little bit, I’m sure it scared him a little bit,” Dorrell said. “We’re hopeful that it’s not too serious.
