Veteran cornerback Ken Crawley has re-joined the New Orleans Saints 53-man roster ahead of their Monday Night Football showdown against the Los Angeles Chargers.
Crawley was signed off the Saints’ practice squad, reportedly after receiving interest from several other teams in need of secondary help. The Saints are without cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and P.J. Williams, and thus needed an experienced option in reserve.
The former Buffs cornerback started for the Saints in 2017 and part of 2018, before inconsistent play pushed him down the depth chart. After losing his starting job, Crawley split 2019 between New Orleans and Miami, then spent the 2020 preseason between Las Vegas and Arizona.
