Veteran cornerback Jimmy Smith (Ravens) and tackle Nate Solder (Giants) were among 13 former Colorado Buffaloes to land on NFL rosters Tuesday. Kabion Ento met a different fate. In what came as somewhat of a surprise, the former Buffaloes wide receiver trying to make it as a cornerback in the NFL was waived by the Green Bay Packers prior to the 4 p.m. EST deadline. Wide receiver Juwann Winfree, a former teammate of Ento’s in Boulder, Colo. was also cut by Green Bay.
Cam Newton’s release wasn’t the only big surprise out of New England.
