BOULDER – Sefo Liufau is bulked up, pumped up, fired up and basically up in general. That’s not a news flash. He’s been that way – at least the last part, contagiously up – since becoming the University of Colorado’s starting quarterback two seasons ago.
But Liufau’s upbeat demeanor has taken a climb over the last several months. He’s in a good place after a good visit. A trip in May to American Samoa with his dad, Joe, for Mother’s Day was rewarding beyond what he expected. It followed off-season conditioning work that also might have stoked him with as much optimism for a football season as he’s ever had.
