AUSTIN, Texas – University of Colorado freshman runners Madison Boreman and Sage Hurta each earned a trip to the 2017 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships in the 3,000-meter steeplechase here Friday night at the NCAA West Preliminary Round.
WHAT HAPPENED
Boreman, a freshman earned her spot at nationals after finishing third in the first heat of the steeplechase to take one of the three automatic qualifying positions. She clocked in at 10:11.70 to finish fifth overall. Teammate Sage Hurta crossed the finish line in second place in her section with a time of 10:17.
