Eugene, Ore. – The University of Colorado freshman Madie Boreman finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase final on day four of the 2017 NCAA Track and Field Championships here Saturday at Hayward Field.
WHAT HAPPENED
Freshman Madie Boreman keeps Colorado's strong steeplechase tradition alive with a second-place finish dropping 3.52 seconds off her already huge PR time from prelims. Boreman right from the start jumped out into the top group and never let up. Boreman held steady in the top pack until the top two separated themselves and Boreman ran alone in the third position.
