SEATTLE — Colorado senior Ben Saarel clocked a 7:50.93 time in the 3,000 meters Saturday at the Husky Classic. This time is not only the second fastest time in the NCAA but now second all-time for CU behind Adam Goucher's indoor time from 1998.
Saarel finished fifth in the 3,000 meters. It was the fastest time in the MPSF conference as of Saturday and is the second fastest in the nation. Justyn Knight owns the top time in the country with a 7:45.86.
Saarel's time is now second all-time for CU coming in behind Goucher's 7:46.03 time from 1998.
