BOSTON — The University of Colorado track and field graduate student joined the history books here Saturday evening with a top-five time in CU history in the women's 5,000.
Baran finished ninth in a stacked women's 5,000-meter run at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener at Boston University, running 15:33.72 seconds. The mark puts her fourth in CU history while becoming the 10 woman in CU history to run under the 16-minute mark indoors.
, who is now ninth in CU history in the event, ran 15:52.90 for 29. Her mark was just a couple of seconds off her personal best of 15:50.
