A bar owner in Council Bluffs, Iowa has built a custom “Cleveland Browns-style beer fridge” full of Budweiser to troll fans of the winless Cornhuskers.
The idea came from the recent Bud Light ad campaign, where 10 locked fridges fully stocked with bottles of the Anheuser-Busch beverage, were strategically placed in bars around Cleveland, Ohio. The fridges were finally opened - with bottles of Bud Light free to the denizens of Cleveland - immediately following the Browns win over the New York Jets on September 20th, the team’s first victory since Christmas Eve 2016.
As you can see from the pictures in the above tweet, there is an inscription on the side of the fridge in Barleys Bar & Grill which reads:
“In the spirit of being Iowa Nice, Barley’s is offering a gift to our neighbor who is hurting.
