DENVER—Sophomore Hedda Baangman was named the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association MVP for women's Nordic for the 2019 season, the league announced Wednesday. The league also announced the All-RMISA teams, and the Buffs earned four first- and four second-team honorees.
The MVP honor essentially honors Baangman as both the highest finishing and most consistent skier for women's Nordic for the season. She finished nine of 10 races with six podium finishes, including one win, three second place finishes and one third place finish. The award is the accumulation of NCAA Qualification points for the season and she recorded 232 out of a possible 320, beating Denver's Taeler McCrerey by 11 points.
