BOULDER — Tedric Thompson took a stroll through his old stomping grounds recently. The former Colorado safety grinned ear-to-ear at a Buffaloes’ football practice during the Seattle Seahawks bye week to relive the glory days. So many friendships remain, but things sure look different this fall.
A new secondary coach. A new coordinator. Plenty of new starters. And fair or not, a revised public perception of the Buffaloes’ defense. Thompson watches about every game on TV, texts regularly with his old teammates and understands their challenges.
“You’re not going to be the No. 1 defense right away,” Thompson said.
