Alissa Noe's blog: CU's player of the day:

After receiving the Pac-12 Most Improved Player of the Year award earlier this week, sophomore guard George King validated the conference's decision on Wednesday afternoon when he dropped 21 points in Colorado's decisive 80-56 victory over Washington State.

"It's a great feeling, especially after being in a slump for the last couple games; a little bit of weight off my shoulders when finally one goes in and it kind of gets me going a little bit," King said. "I won't credit my performance to a particular jump shot but it helped for sure."

Although it was far from his career high of 27 points at Auburn at the beginning of the season, King has proved his worth again and again this year, scoring over 20 points in seven contests so far this year.
