"I didn't skate for eight days and playing goalie, it's really tough after not skating to come back right away," Varlamov said Friday. "That's why we decided, me and the coaching staff, to give me more time to get in shape, to get conditioning back. I skated this morning with the goalie coach and a few guys out there on the ice, and I feel really good.
