It’s the dead of summer now, meaning there is less news happening. On one hand, this is bad for us because we who write/read hockey blogs in the middle of July are desperate for news that just isn’t there. On the other hand, it gives us a chance to have a look at the teams we watch and see what everything looks like now that the dust has settled.
AHL rosters are still a land of magic for even the best people covering the league. There isn’t a reliable place to find AHL contract lengths, and trying to find salary numbers gets you laughed out of the room.
