After falling behind for the second straight game, the #1/#1 Denver Pioneers rattled off five unanswered goals, including three in the third period, to put away Lake Superior State in a 5-1 win.
Twelve players collected points for the Pioneers (2-0-2) in the win and freshman goaltender Dayton Rasmussen made 15 saves to collect his first NCAA win in his first start. Troy Terry (2 G), Dylan Gambrell (2 A) Collin Staub (2 A) led a powerful offensive attack for the Pioneers, who eclipsed 50 shots on goal after putting 66 on net Friday night.
