Don Meehan, the Ontario-based agent for Avalanche defenseman Tyson Barrie, is in Denver and will attend Wednesday night's Colorado-Montreal game at the Pepsi Center.
But Meehan said he hadn't scheduled discussions with Joe Sakic, the Avalanche's general manager, about a new contract for Barrie, who can be a restricted free agent July 1 and elect to go to arbitration.
Barrie is making $2.6 million in the final season of his existing deal.
Meehan also represents Avalanche winger Jarome Iginla, who signed a three-year, $16-million deal as an unrestricted free agent July 2014.
"I can't tell you whether we'll have any discussions with Joe because we're simply here to see the players we represent," Meehan said at the Pepsi Center Wednesday morning.
