After his two-goal, one-assist game Saturday night at the Pepsi Center, Avalanche captain Gabe Landeskog was named the first star and made the curtain call.
At his locker-room stall, he spoke to waves about Colorado’s 5-3 win over Buffalo.
Eventually, Landeskog was asked: Had he considered the possibility that this might have been his final home game for Colorado?
The pause was noticeable.
Then he exhaled and said, “I certainly hope not, to be honest with you. That’s not something I’ve really thought about, especially not tonight. I really hope not.
