NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The Avalanche had a good showing in Game 1 of its third playoff series in 10 years but couldn’t handle Nashville in the third period. The Predators scored three times in the third period to go from a 2-2 to a 5-2 win.

  1. Filip Forsberg. Scored two third-period goals for the Preds.
  2. Roman Josi. Nashville defenseman and team captain was plus-4 in a game-high 25:45.
  3. Pekka Rinne. Predators goalie made 25 saves.
