As the old saying goes, you cannot win a pennant in April, but you can certainly lose it.
Of course, no one in their right baseball mind believes the Rockies will actually win the National League West, let alone fly the NL pennant. But at least the Rockies didn’t get buried in April. They entered Saturday’s game against the Reds with an 11-9 record.
