The NHLPA released a list of 23 players that have elected Salary Arbitration, including San Antonio Rampage players Andrew Agozzino and Mat Clark. According to the release, “Salary Arbitration hearings will be held in Toronto from July 20 to August 4, 2015.”
No details have been released as to why Agozzino and Clark cannot agree on a new contract with the Avalanche, but Salary Arbitration is definitely the last resort in negotiations that are usually tough and leave both sides with bitter feelings. We can only speculate about where the players and club have a disagreement that won’t let them settle on a contract.
