Rouyn-Noranda Falls to Red Deer at Memorial Cup

The Red Deer Rebels scored five straight goals and defeated the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies 5-2 on Sunday evening in each teams' second game of the 2016 Memorial Cup at the Enmax Centrium in Red Deer, Alberta.

Rouyn-Noranda was playing the second contest of a back-to-back after it won 5-3 against the Western Hockey League champion Brandon Wheat Kings on Saturday.

The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League champions scored the first two tallies in the opening period against the Rebels, as Timo Meier registered his third of the tournament at 4:17 and Avalanche prospect Julien Nantel found the back of the net for his first at 8:00.
