As the NHL heads down the final stretch of the regular season, the Colorado Avalanche still aren’t a sure thing for the post season.
Three of their players, though, will at the very least be eligible for playoff action no matter what level it comes at.
Forwards Andrew Agozzino and AJ Greer were both made eligible for the Calder Cup playoff run — and for any remaining AHL games this season — when the Avalanche reassigned them to the Colorado Eagles on Monday afternoon.
Both Agozzino and Greer have been promising at the NHL level this year, with Agozzino putting up a goal and two points in his first four NHL games of the season and Greer boasting a 15-game stint at the NHL level.
