Rene Bourque rewards Jared Bednar’s faith

After getting moved up the depth chart to play on a different line, Colorado Avalanche forward Rene Bourque scored two goals including the overtime game-winner Friday night against the Winnipeg Jets.

The changing of line combinations from coach Jared Bednar came in hopes of creating more offense on the second line and it seemingly worked.

“You want to reward coach for the decisions he makes. We just want to win, we’ve had a tough last ten games and we are sick of losing,” Bourque commented on the heightened role he was given. “I think everyone has to pull their own weight and I’m just trying to do that.
