The Colorado Avalanche left crucial points on the table in Tuesday night’s loss to the Nashville Predators, losing their third consecutive game at Pepsi Center. The Avs are now 4-5 against Central Division opponents and their slide down the standings continued with few signs of improvement in the near future.
Avalanche forward Rene Bourque scored his team-high eighth goal of the season in the loss. Following the game, Bourque found no solace in that fact and could only think of his frustration with the team’s performance lately saying, “We are beating ourselves.”
“We give up a goal in the first five seconds of the second period, you know, I think that’s just being mentally focused for puck drop,” Bourque continued.
