The Minnesota Wild and Colorado Avalanche met for a divisional showdown at Xcel Energy Center in Saint Paul, Minnesotta, for their first meeting of the regular season. It was closely contested on the scoreline, but it felt like the Avalanche had control of this one from start to finish. Another penalty-riddled second period once again wasn't enough to stop the Avalanche.
The Game
It was all systems go for Colorado in this one, from puck drop and Ross Colton got the scoring started for the Avalanche. Riley Tufte and Bowen Byram combined for a beautiful passing play, and Colton ripped home the wrister.
