Predators’ Colton Sissons’ rent is past due, and his Avalanche landlord is ready to collect

Two days before the Avalanche faces Nashville to begin a Western Conference playoff series, Colorado’s Colin Wilson already has a gripe with the Predators’ Colton Sissons.

Sissons owes Wilson money — this month’s rent for living at his home in Music City. If Sissons doesn’t pay up by Thursday, Wilson will take matters into his own hands.

“You’ll know if I cross check him,” Wilson said with a grin Tuesday after practice.

Truth is, Wilson and Sissons are former teammates and good friends. Wilson, 28, played his first eight NHL seasons with Nashville before being acquired by the Avs in a trade last summer.
