Defenseman Patrick Wiercioch was back in the Avalanche lineup Tuesday night against Los Angeles after he was a healthy scratch the previous two games.
“It’s not fun,” Wierioch said after the morning skate. “I don’t know what else you want me to say about that. … There’s some communication, some dialogue and that’s probably going to stay within the locker room.”
Going into the Los Angeles game, Wiercioch had one goal and four assists in 12 games and was a minus-1. The former University of Denver standout signed a one-year, $800,000 contract with the Avalanche on July 1 after Ottawa didn’t make him a qualifying offer and he became an unrestricted free agent.
