Scoring goals, especially a lot of them, are always a good way for any team to win a hockey game.
The Colorado Avalanche will need to find its scoring touch tonight as the Washington Capitals make their lone appearance at Pepsi Center this season. The Capitals, already the winner of the Presidents' Trophy as the NHL's top-point getter during the year, enter the night second in the league in scoring, averaging 3.07 goals per game.
Washington is also one of the best defensive clubs this season, leading the league with 2.3 goals against per contest and ranking tied for sixth with just 28.
